The 3D Sonar by Water Linked is a compact 3-dimensional imaging sonar with approx. 15 meters of range. This device allows you to view, manipulate and capture real-time 3D sonar data.

You will need an ethernet cable and separate PC to open the sonar's web interface. We recommend using Google Chrome for the best viewing experience.
To view the sonar's data, power on your Hand Controller with the ROV system connected
Once the GUI shows, open the menu and navigate to Settings --> Network
Turn DHCP ON
Connect an ethernet cable between your PC and the Hand Controller
In the network table on the Hand Controller's Network settings page, the sonar should show up in the list as 'WaterLinked 3D Sonar'
6. Enter the IP address listed here as a URL in the web browser on your PC. You should be presented with the screen below
7. Click Enable acoustics

To view the sonar's data, power on your BRIDGE Box and connect to your ROV
Once connected, navigate to Diagnostics --> Network
The sonar should show up in the list as 'WaterLinked 3D Sonar'
4. Open your web browser and enter the IP address listed here as a URL. You should be presented with the same screen as above
5. Click Enable acoustics
The data should immediately begin to show as a 3D reconstruction, continuously updating as new data flows in. Use Left Click to rotate, and right click to pan.
Click Record at the top of the page to record the session as a .sonar file. This file can be replayed through Water Linked's web playback tool here: https://sonar.replay.waterlinked.com/.
Click the Measure button at the top of the page. This will freeze the data and let you click and drag to take measurements.
By default the interface will choose a range of data to show based on how far its able to fetch data. You can manually adjust this range through this tool on the left.
On the right side of the screen, click Settings to open this drawer. Color options can also be toggled ON to show different palettes. We recommend using the color grade shown below.
This menu can be opened through the above Settings panel. Note that all configurations are reset to default on restart. This page allows you adjust common sonar settings, such as Speed of Sound.
