External Frames, Tool platforms and Mounting

Tilt Platform

Available on: Pivot

This accessory is required to mount the Grabber, Sonar, Zoom camera and other accessories to the pivot. It comes standard on all packages other than smart.

The tilt platform allows different tools to be pitched relative to the ROV, and can be controlled with the controls shown in the getting started pages of this manual.

The tilt platform comes installed with a single point slip clutch to protect the frame while lifting heavy loads. If the slip clutch is activated it must manually be recentered.

This tool platform allows for heavier loads to be carried by the revolution, such as large sonars or INS systems, and can be used for many custom integrations.

Stackable Batteries

This Accessory allows multiple pairs of batteries to be used on the revolution at the same time. Up to three pairs of batteries, including the ones mounted directly to the ROV, can be mounted at once.

Go Pro Mount

Available on: All Products

This mount allows any standard Go Pro hardware to be mounted to the Vehicle.

ROV Retrieval Kit- Grappling Hook

Available on: Revolution, Pivot and Photon

The Grappling Hook is an additional piece of equipment that has been specifically designed to sink in water such that all 4 hooks will point upwards to help hook the provided straps on the ROV. This hook can be attached to any type of chain, rope, or wire, and subsequently used to deploy and recover the ROV from any substantial height above the water level. There is also the option of using a pulley system or winch to make deployment easier.

The hook has two holes for mounting. The top hole should be used with the included D-Ring to attach the recovery line to the hook. The bottom hole should be used with the included carabiner, with the carabiner closed around the tether prior to launching. This will allow the recovery line to remain close to the tether during operation.

Ensure that you only hook the grappling hook to the appropriate lifting point on the ROV.

For details on how to route the tether through the grappling hook see this guide.

Bumper Kit

Available on: Revolution

This Is a kit that can be installed on the outside of your revolution ROV, it acts as a point of first contact when driving in uncertain conditions. It rigidly mounts to the frame of the ROV and protects the outermost components of the vehicle while still allowing use of the grabber and other tools.

Details on how to install the bumper kit can be found in this guide.

ARCH Kit

The ARCH Kit is the multi-use tool platform used on the utility crawler. Of arms allows use of vacuum heads, non destructive testing tools, and other cleaning tools.

To attach the optional two function boom for additional tools, place the structure onto the four pegs and secure by inserting a cotter pin through the holes.

Connect the cylinder harnesses to the corresponding ports on the crawler.
